Heyo! well I haven't posted anything in a while, so Here's a doodle I got a chance to color up in between work, lunch and FOOSEBALL (how did I get sooo addicted to that game?! Toomey...it's all your fault!) anyways, THANKS EVERYONE soooo much for coming to the book launch for the Sketchrospective 2nd book-Cowboys,Robots & Dinosaurs, it was a really great turnout.And for anyone that didn't get a copy, I promise to hook ya'll up with one. Plus it was my birthday too, to that was also a bonus. Gawd im getting old.....I'd better do something meaningful...soon. oh well, anyways later peeps

Here's a tid-bit of a piece I am working on for the next SKETCHROSPECTIVE book we are working on. The theme is Cowboys Robots and....DINOSUARS....coming to stores near this HALLOWEEN! premiering at the Victoria Comic-con! Happy Belated CANADA DAY! right on....anyways, yesterday I went out for a good ol' canada day foosball session in Yaletown, and went all over the place. then at the end of the night I realized I lost my pack pack with my sketchbook and pencils and markers!! I i just got a sweet brush pen I am finally trying out....really cool..pick one up. anyways, luckily, the good folks at SOHO billiards found it and I just got it back...Whew....anyways. I did this quicky sketch of THOR trying to play around with the Brush Pen, then I just kinda started doodling the avengers.....well, just Iron man and Cap for now. hopefully I can get the rest of the guys in there...oh well....just messing around. have a good weekend!

Hey-O! Just wanted to post a doodle I did on my lunch. Don't ask me where I got the name for this, I actually went to a Random name generator site and just hit randomize and "Graça Amália" is what popped up...so yeah I just went with it. Anyways...the colors were inspired from the new "Phoenix" album. Such a catchy cd....and wicked for summertime tunes. peesh out.

Another interpretation of a ghost story. It has come to my attention that alot of the old ghost stories take place with an old woman in the woods. wierd. anyways, This one is about an old lady that goes out to pick out some veggies for dinner, but finds this Big Hairy Toe, and decides to make hairy toe soup. Unfortunately the owner of the big hairy toe comes over to get it back.

Raw Head and Bloody Bones

Lately, I've been reading a bunch of short ghost stories to try to fall asleep. One in particular was a neat story called "Raw Head and Bloody Bones". It's about a witch and her razor back hog (named Raw Head), and eventually a hunter kills the razor back, and the witch casts a spell to bring her hog back to life and exact revenge on the hunter. So I thought it would be neat to do a little illustration for each story beat in this ghost story. anyways, I this is the first. More soon. hopefully.

Just a bunch of quick sketches, alot of them were sketches of people in the food court at Metrotown. Glad to get out a couple times with Chan, Jarrett and Rags. then the rest of the sketches are just from me trying to get back to the basics with a good ol' charcoal and paper. i had to take photos of these since it would take a hell of a time to scan them with my dinky scanner. oh well. again, these were like seriously 2 min sketches.....soooo yeah.

Happy New Year Everybody! well it was a whirl wind christmas holiday, and was super busy as always seeing family and old freinds back in alberta. This year in particular was really cool. I got a surprise call from my former grade 7 teacher, Mr.Mastel, (who is now the principal), to come back to my junior high school, Sacred Heart, to talk as a special guest about animation. Initially I thought I was going to just talk to an art class, but i later found out that I was going to talk in front of the whole school! Yikes! I was really nervous at first, but eventually the kids got into it and all was well. After a short speech, we showed "Eyesore" my old and silly student film from Vancouver Film School, then a bit of Q&A. After that I got a chance to go from class-to-class to talk a bit about the animation industry and my experiences after Sacred Heart, and also to draw a really quick sketch for each class which was really fun! It was such a great time going back to my old school to and see all of my old teachers again, and to see how much Sacred Heart has evolved since I was there since they are putting a bit more emphasis on the arts. It's Great! I just want to say Thanks to Mr.Mastel and all the staff at Sacred Heart for having me back!

Well It's that time of year again, becoming poor with crazy shopping madness, visiting the family in Edmonton, getting stuffed with meals and bringing on the new year and I'm turning 26 right away....wow... where has the time gone? Speaking of shopping madness, I can't believe a employee at Walmart actually got killed by trampling during a massive Walmart sale a few weeks back! Unbelievable! poor guy just started working and was just tryin to save up for Christmas.... and I also heard that two people shot each other at a Toy's R Us ovver a toy! What is the world coming to? Anyways, I hope people actually realize Christmas isn't about all the toys and stuff, so I thought I could spread a little Christmas cheer so I made a make shift Christmas card for every one, thats supposed to be Tamara and I on the sleigh....so yeah- I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!

Hey-O! Just was watching National Geographic channel and I was watching a show where a Racoon made a home in someones trailer. Also, a couple weeks ago I was Biking through Stanley Park and encountered a massive gang of 30 racoons all just chillin on the bike path. and they all just stared at me as I tried to make my way through. It was sort of like the BEAT IT video. oh well.
